So I am back

So I am back.  My celebration last week resulted in comfy clothes and lots of things other than computer screens.  And besides, you would have probably started ignoring me forever if I continually reminded you of my nurse-hood every single day.  I was too excited to sit still.

Here ye, here ye!

I passed my boards and am a registered nurse!  Yay! I am excited (can you tell a little bit?)!  This is something I have been waiting and wanting forever.  And it is here.  

So in celebration, my lovely lady friend and I went shopping, obviously.

I can't wait to wear my new clothes this summer when I am not in scrubs...ha!  yay (again)!!!

A wedding with emotion

Soon enough I will have the energy to weed through the hundreds of photos from our wedding that our seriously stellar photog took (Chris, you rock...check his stuff HERE) and show you his amazing work and our wonderful, lovely, perfect, exciting day (I loved our wedding, can you tell?).  But for now.  Here are these.  A whirlwind of emotion during the speeches at our wedding and well, I just plain loves these photos.  I cried all over again.

My dad's toast was the best part of the reception.  amazing.  I cried the whole time.

In the mood for another one

I love my husband and I love date nights.  Especially when they start out with flowers.  And then when they lead to quaint and fancy Italian restaurants that make you want to say "Ciao!" and kiss everyone's cheeks.  After I pass my test today (crossing my fingers and toes and you should too) I am asking for another one of these lovely evenings.  One with martinis and cheersing and kissing at least my husband's cheeks.  Ciao ciao!  

All you need is...

A black maxi, sunnies, hot lipstick, a top knot and flip-flops.  Seriously.  I didn't even want to take it off.  Sometimes less is more.  

Today is Friday and that means my test is a mere 3 days away.  Yikes.  3 days.  I need to go study.

I got hot and it was awesome

Husband and I were texting the other day while he was at work and I was walking around our town to take a break from studying for what some call "the biggest test of my life."  I wore this.  And got hot in it...what?!  So that spurred a conversation about all the summery things that we can't wait to do together during our first married summer.  My list included: picnics, beach days in the city, iced tea, grilling, walks, and sangria.  Michael's list:  making out and architectural tours.  I love that weirdo.

Girls rule.  Pink, lace and polka dots.  And giant wonderful wedges.  

I was also able to have a girl's night this weekend which was incredibly needed.  Life lately has been stressful as nursing school has come to a close, my boards are ever impending (6 more days, ah!) and the self-inflicting rush to find the right job for me.  So again, a night out with the girls and a cocktail was ever so lovely and relaxing.  We walked ourselves to the greatest Latin restaurant and indulged in several servings of chips and salsa and a margarita or two (I think you have maybe realized that I am in deep love with margaritas).  

And now as for me...I am going back to study...wish me luck!

My nanny uniform

As I transition from school to real life nurse work, I am continuing to nanny for one of my favorite families and one whose kids I just plain adore.  And with all the stickiness and droll and other bodily fluids, we just can't afford to wear silk and fancy-pants pants. Cotton is my uniform.

Also...I got a new camera.  Yessiree!  My handsome and hunky husband bought one for me for graduation. From here on out, expect some beautiful photos and lots of em'.  Already obsessed with it.  Husband, you sure know who you are married to.  You rock lover boy.

Today is the day

Today is the day that the Lord has made and I am REJOICING because I get to walk across a stage, grab my diploma, wear my nurse pin, and hit the ground running.  Yup.  Today I graduate and finally get my BSN.  And of course that automatically called for a pre-celebration at our favorite latin-fusion restaurant.

CHEERS!
